Continuing with my Music Video Directors theme in May, I thought I would steer off the mainstream and delve into the up-and-coming directors that will have impact in the not too distant future. First on the list is Bryan Schlam whose video for “Chinatown” by Kitten shows the most impressive response to video trends whilst adding distinctive skill and creativity. Every frame is a work of art, and a literal individual piece, there is so much rotoscoping it’s unreal.
